We are flawed human beings.
We are fallen creations of God.
This being said, we cannot trust our own instincts because we are selfish creatures who can and will manipulate the natural instincts that God provided us, hence making the instincts tainted and no longer something we can trust.
We can only trust God.

I agree. And I think, sometimes, we think we are trusting God but really we're relying on ourselves for the answers we want to hear (going back to what you said - we can and will manipulate).
I enjoy reading your posts. I hope you post more often!
I agree, too. In this age of extreme self-reliance, it's so hard to see that sometimes we're depending on ourselves and our limited insights to solve everything. It just doesn't friggin' work.
